I know I'm going to come down with something.

I spent most of last night screaming at the top of my lungs for Journey/Def Leppard!

EEEEEEE!!!! I know!!!! Journey!!!! And Def Leppard! JOURNEY!!!!! (Can't really post concert review because I suck at that, but it was cold, kinda rainy, but ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!)

And today?

I get to see [livejournal.com profile] bijoux and [livejournal.com profile] jennlynnfs.

This is just an incredibly awesome weekend.

I'm perfectly convinced that there's a strange curse associated with [livejournal.com profile] jennlynnfs's new place in Long Beach. Of the four times I've been out there, I've had delays three of the times coming back, each delaying my return by at least half an hour.

Tonight's was on the 605 by Whittier, where they decided to narrow four lanes of moving traffic down to just one.

But I am grateful. After all, had I not been stuck in traffic long enough to get caught on commercials on my regular Sat. night late night station, which plays lots of 80s music, I would never have discovered "After Hours" on KROQ, which plays a variety of electronica and techno.

Yes, my friends. This is the beginning of an era.

I spent most of today down in Long Beach with [livejournal.com profile] jennlynnfs and [livejournal.com profile] bijoux. We got together to celebrate [livejournal.com profile] jennlynnfs's birthday (belatedly).

In other news, I finally figured out how to play with a few things, so I gave my blog a face lift; if you're curious what the floating molecules are, well...I work with them. :)

Having spent nine hours of my day today watching baseball, I feel pretty useless. And I feel like it's later than it really is.

Three CDs purchased today that ended up being *great* buys!

I've lately been antsy for more music to listen to in lab.

This morning, in a moment of weakness, I found myself at Tower Records and got:

  • Etta James - Love Songs
  • Joni Mitchell - Dreamland
  • Natalie Dessay - Airs d'operas francais

All were on sale and all for less equal or less than I would have gotten on amazon, so no qualms over the price.

Spent the good chunk of the afternoon lazying away over a romance novel. On my third CD now and am really really pleased with my buys! I love all them!
