Rain, rain...

...it starts getting gloomy again. Grr. But...
I finally cracked yesterday. While I do completely adore Jeff, I absolutely could not stand the hours that I was keeping in order to keep up with him. He's a Night Owl and I'm more of a Morning Bird. I finally caved and told him I couldn't stay up with him and had to keep my own hours. This will mean less time with Jeff (:() but a lot more time with the chemistry and a generally happier existence.
I love mornings. It's a gray one, but I can't really feel bad about it.
The fabulous and terrible thing about living in SoCal is that everybody wants to visit. Some time around the second week in December, I get the "It's cold here. I want to come out to SoCal in a few weeks, can I crash with you?" e-mail.
This is wonderfully advantageous because this means that I get visitors all the time and get to see my friends...from high school, college, and the like. (My high school friends weren't this enthusiastic about visiting me when I was in cold New England for college!)
But this is also terribly disadvantageous because then I actually have to plan around stuff. Eeep.
Cousin Ted and college friend Lisa coming in the span of the next ten days; Ted stays for a week, but came here for undergrad and so has places to go and people to see and hence I do not need to entertain. Lisa is here for a long weekend, so that is much more manageable timewise. My friends are so smart! :)
