What I'll be busy trying to survive the next two weeks...

Happy spring! Just wanted to let you know all the exciting things going on in the G Group these next two weeks:

Wednesday, May 4, 3 pm – D’s Candidacy
Wednesday, May 4, 4 pm-ish – Reception for D
Thursday, May 5, 10 am – Je’s Defense
Thursday, May 5, 11 am-ish – Reception for Je
Monday, May 9, 2 pm – A’s Defense
Friday, May 13, 10 am – W’s Defense
Friday, May 13, 3 pm – Graduation BBQ for A, Je, and W/Farewell for Ju

Another reminder: on Wednesday, May 4, there is still a group meeting at 5 after Don’s reception!!!

Whew! Busy schedule, but I think we can handle it!

I don't think I ever mentioned my group job before. It's group party-planner...for a lab group known to party. And though when I took it, it seemed to be easy, it's not. These days, when I see "Candidacy" and "defense" I think "ok, we need to plan these receptions and I need this many bottles of red and this many of white, and this many of champagne, and some of those have to be sweet..."

I love it, but when it's crowded like this?!

Seems to me that chemistry and quantitative analysis of alcohol requirements go hand in hand in your case! :-)

You can plan my party anytime! You've got your priorities straight (wine!) and you know your sweet from your dry in the bubbly department! Whee!
