Stuff That's Happened:

• Dr. J!!!!! J defended, and he rocked! He was so beyond awesome and fantastic and I love him and I'm so very proud of him! I can't believe he's done!!!!
  
• J's Parents!! J's parents were in town for the defense, so I spent Wednesday night-Friday night hanging out with them. His parents are lots of fun, and the more time we spend together the more I love them. I love his mom. She brings me romance novels. :)
  
• New apartment!!! I moved! I moved to my new place where me and my cat live alone and I'm so very happy there. It's only been two days so I haven't figured out the "Thing I will be Bitching about" yet ;) (Though I now recall how very much I hate moving. It's only made worse by the realization that I'll be doing this again in a year! BOOOO. BUUUUUUT! Life in the new apartment is good. I'm mostly unpacked. And I thought I was moved out, but I left my ketchup behind. It's always something :P
  
• Birthday!!!! kilroi had her birthday this past weekend!!!!!!!! Happy birthday, dear! I adore you!!! J and I joined her BBQ a bit late, but we stuck around and went to PotC III with her (I enjoyed it).
  
• Protein!!! Prepped samples for a collaborator in Israel and now they're all sent off and I'm happy! Do your magic, protein! Please be awesome!

Stuff That's About to Happen

• See Carrie Run!! My childhood friend Carrie is coming to visit. We'll be off this weekend to San Diego, where she'll be running in the marathon.
  
• LASER!!!! Will be trying to reproduce a result very soon, once the system is up and running again. Should go well and I'm pretty sure I'll see the same thing I saw before. If it happens, the project will be closing up and we'll have the draft of the paper in.
  
• Shopping!!! Ten months after starting a relatively regular workout schedule (made more consistent in the past five months), I've dropped a size and can no longer wear my comfy jeans comfortably. :D WOOOOOOOOT!!!! Carrie arrives at a good time for a girly, ego boosting (it is hoped) shopping trip. Will have to be circumspect in spending, of course, but excited, all the same. I can't wait to put these jeans in storage *yanks up waistline again*
  
• Dr. J goes in the Hood J gets hooded and walks in graduation in a week and a half. Big family reunion!! Woooo!
  
• J goes away! :( Boooooo.

Stuff that's going to Happen Soon-ish

• Wedding and Ames!!! Late June, I'll be in a wedding for a good college friend. Since the wedding's in VA, I'll be able to swing by and make the_marchioness waste some time!!! :P
  
• Margaret and Vienna! Mid-July!!!! Need I say more?!?

Time is flying. This is good. I hope it flies until I'm walking down the aisle and getting my own hood.
