Woooot! Elinor Dashwood has her new hard drive that does not make rattle-y noises. She also has been recharged with all the backed up data and music (I was relieved that even the music I had bought from Itunes was easily drag and droppable)
Got most of my programs reinstalled. Probably forgot stuffs, but I'll have to address them as they come!

(props still go to Catherine Morland, who, despite being quite old, was still quite competent, and steady during my time of crisis. I swear I ought to rename her Fanny Price; under-appreciated but essential.)
She is taking her well-deserved break.
