I was listening to a Penguin Podcast today, and I was amused by the segment when the show's host went around Penguin asking people what their favorite poem was, asking them to read a bit of it, and explain why they liked it.
Choosing a favorite poem seems beyond difficult. (You know, no sooner choose a favorite star in the heavens, etc.) What do you look for? Lyricism, imagery? Subject matter?
I have so many friends who love to read, so I'm taking a chance and hoping you all read poetry.
The questions are, what's your favorite poem? What are your favorite lines? And why do you like it?
I'm going to take a day to think this one over. I'm really curious to see what you'll choose!!!
