back from sd

happychemistLaser measurements were (to put it politely) quite difficult. But they're also over and have been over since Friday at 2 am, so who wants to dwell over that?
Weekend/outlet shopping was fun. Carrie put together a good performance on her marathon, esp considering she didn't run in the last 4 weeks, was sick, and traveled to Africa, London, Michigan, and California all in the week leading up to the event :)
We were going to stay the weekend with "her friend Dave", but lo and behold, we arrived in SD and I discovered "her friend Dave" is "my friend that I've lost track of Dave" so it was simply awesome to catch up with him. We had ample opportunity! :)
We drove back up this morning. Carrie is slugging out the day in my apartment and recovering. And I'm...working up laser data :P
