Randomness

A phrase struck me as odd this morning, and Dr J claimed the phrase was normal, widely used. I will never agree that it makes sense, but I wondered if it was, indeed, a popular phrase.

So here it is: please reply with what you think is the word that completes this common phrase (And if you want to be creative, that's fine too :P )

We always say, "Not the brightest bulb." with no ending. Or, "Not the sharpest tool in the shed." "Not the sharpest crayon in the box" is my sister's phrase for her kindergarteners.

Now I'm curious!

Fixture? Sign?

Garden? (LOL)

Hmmm...

I favor "not the sharpest knife in the drawer"

My dad the DIY guy always said "half a quart low" or "a bubble off plumb". I wonder if those are widely understood, or if it would just be us?

Still curious. You will have to do a separate post when you reveal so I am sure not to miss it!

"Box" was the first thing that came to mind. Although I just saw an old episode of Frasier the other day and I think it was Niles who was stumped on how to end the phrase, too. Daphne suggested "bulb box?" :)

Omg, I'm an idiot. I seriously meant 'lightshed' when I wrote it, even though that ... doesn't ... exist. And has never existed.

OMG.

Hi crystal. I'm a huge fan of 'A Suitor for Ashe'. I think the suspense is amazing and you really know the characters well. You've definetely captured Balthier's arrogance. I was wondering will you be installing chapter 14 soon? The suspense is literally killing me.
