Amazing.

Still on a research high. Strangeness abounds. Why are things still working!?!

Not one to complain. :)

Worked through Saturday and Sunday morning, but I'm far along in the synthesis of two more compounds, and I isolated a new compound on Saturday :). (The one problem with chemistry that works; I feel compelled to ride it out and push through as much as I can before the wave of productivity is over...)

Relaxed yesterday afternoon; continued on my strange obsession for the Tudor Dynasty yesterday by watching Elizabeth (which I enjoyed very much; Cate Blanchette was magnificent). Last night, I went to Etta James at House of Blues! Opening for her was Amanda Dumas. Amazing performance. Both ladies were really great. If you're interested in finding a new artist to listen to, I'd give Amanda Dumas a shot; she sounded wonderful.

Overall, it was a really great way to unwind and let the chemist sleep for a bit.

It's monday morning and I'm ready for more. Bring it! :)

Chem high is gone...but I'm not :)

Fairy dust is gone. No longer does anything I touch into results :p

But I'm feeling good. I feel like that surfer who caught that great wave. Now I can smile and know I rode it out well, and prep myself for the next one :).

In the meantime, I must prepare my group meeting presentation (next Wednesday).
