[livejournal.com profile] the_marchioness, [livejournal.com profile] kilroi and the [livejournal.com profile] psychocommagrlz have heard me whine about this, so I figured I'd update: the protein sample that I rushed to nitrate and purify this weekend ARRIVED in Israel today!!!!

FedEx is amazing. I sent off the package on Monday afternoon, 1 p.m. P.S.T. Ole wrote me at around noon his time today in Israel to say that the protein had arrived and was sitting in the fridge. Honestly, I never imagined it'd get there so quickly!!!

WOOT WOOT!

I want to thank those very generous and thoughtful of you who have sent me Christmas cards. *hugs*

Dr. J ARRIVES TODAY!!! **BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE**

I still have a lot of cleaning and shopping to do, but he arrives tonight and I'm throwing a small get together for people to catch up. Yay for great company! Yay for Dr. J!!!

We leave for Vegas tomorrow afternoon, after he carries out a measurement for his old Caltech boss. (Can you say "workaholic"?)

So, as it's likely I won't be on line until after I get back from Las Vegas/San Diego....

Good to hear things are going well for you! I'm on the East Coast now for the holidays and New Years. Did I mention that Scott moved to Boston? Perhaps that's a long story for another time. Anywho, I'm in Boston tonight and for New Years, and he gets to brave meeting my parents in Maine next weekend. Bad Flora for not keeping in touch! We should catch up some time.
